Privacy Policy — Flashcard Focus Coach

Flashcard Focus Coach ("we", "our", or "the app") is published by ArcanForge. This policy explains what personal data the app collects, how we use it, your rights under the GDPR and CCPA, and how you can contact us.

1. Data we collect

Flashcard Focus Coach is designed to work without an account and without mandatory cloud sync. By default:

• On-device only: meals, portion corrections, settings, and cached ingredient matches live in local SwiftData storage on your iPhone. We do not see them.
• Apple Health (opt-in): if you enable Apple Health sync in Settings, the app writes your meals to the Health app. We do not read, transmit, or store a copy server-side.
• iCloud sync (opt-in, reserved for a future release): the Settings toggle exists but is disabled by default in this version. When enabled in a future release, sync will be end-to-end via Apple's iCloud infrastructure; we do not see the data.
• Anonymous analytics events: minimal usage events (app_opened, meal_logged, paywall_shown, paywall_converted) may be sent to ArcanForge's own analytics endpoint for product improvement. Events do not contain meal content, photos, or personal identifiers — only event names and coarse counts. You can opt out in Settings.

2. Data we do NOT collect

• Your meal photos never leave the device. Vision framework processing is 100% on-device.
• We do not create accounts, collect email addresses, phone numbers, or IP addresses.
• We do not embed advertising SDKs. We do not track you across apps.
• We do not sell, rent, or share data with brokers or data resellers.

3. Payments

Flashcard Focus Coach subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles billing, receipts, and payment details per Apple's privacy policy. We receive only an anonymous transaction ID to unlock premium features on your device.

4. GDPR / CCPA — your rights

Because we do not hold any personal data server-side, there is no profile to access, correct, port, or delete. If you still wish to exercise a right under GDPR / CCPA:

• Deletion: delete the app — local data is removed with it.
• Access / portability: use Settings → Export Data (coming in a future release) to dump your meal log as JSON.
• Opt-out of analytics: Settings → Analytics → off. Subsequent events are not sent.
• Request confirmation: email support@arcanforge.ai and we will confirm in writing within 30 days that we do not hold personal data for you.

5. Children

Flashcard Focus Coach is rated 4+ but is not marketed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.

6. Security

Local data is stored via SwiftData and inherits Apple's file-system protections (NSFileProtectionCompleteUntilFirstUserAuthentication). Anonymous analytics are transmitted over HTTPS to an ArcanForge-controlled endpoint. No credentials are stored in the app.

7. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we update "Last updated" above and — for material changes — add a notice on first app launch after the update.
